The 'dabbawalas' (literally meaning, 'man with a box') is a unique service in the city of Mumbai. Each dabbawala delivers between 50-60 lunch-tiffins (dabbas) to office-goers daily, in record time with flawless precision and hence have earned them a six-sigma rating by international agencies. Inspite of a low monthly income of Rs. 100/ US $2 a day, this man has adapted himself to technology for servicing his clients better.
