“This photo was captured in Narayanganj district of Bangladesh. The woman in the photo owns a little poultry farm, which brought economic solvency for her family and few other people she employs in the farm. Such small but promising initiatives contribute to the socioeconomic improvement of the people who are otherwise devoid of jobs.”

Dr. Sheetal Amte
India In the words of the photographer: “Daajiba was afflicted by leprosy some 54 years back. He was shunned, ostracized and marginalized from his native village. When he found shelter anywhere, Anandwan', gave him a ray of hope and dignity. He chose to get a chance in place of charity. Today Daajiba feels empowered as he produces 10000 quintals of tomatoes in the fields every year."Work builds, charity destroys" is the life saga of Daajiba.”
Entrepreneurs create products, services and jobs. They expand economies, improve people's lives, provide employment (high and rising wages) and bring about competition. A competitive environment, in turn, gives rise to efficiency, meritocracy and further innovations and entrepreneurial drive.
The potent combination of entrepreneurship and technological innovation can forge an environment that is conducive to further enterprise, involving even government policy in supporting entrepreneurship and innovation.
