Submit Your Idea for a S.E.VEN Mini-Grant
The S.E.VEN Fund is pleased to consider small requests for seed funding year-round. These mini-grants do not exceed $10K. Mini-grant requests should align with the S.E.VEN Fund's funding priorities. International development and philanthropy are broad areas; we only fund projects that specifically relate to enterprise-based solutions to poverty. Further, we typically support research, the development of writing and other media, conferences, and similar projects. At this time, we do not fund direct services (for example, providing operating funds to a homeless shelter or youth center - these are very worthy causes, but not our mandate - however a number of other organizations are active in these areas or directly invest in individual businesses seeking to expand. If you have an enterprise-based solution to poverty project and require a small seed investment to catalyze or advance your effort - take a shot and tell us more about it. Should you have additional questions, please review our FAQ's prior to submitting your mini-grant request. See former winners here.

Entrepreneurs create products, services and jobs. They expand economies, improve people's lives, provide employment (high and rising wages) and bring about competition. A competitive environment, in turn, gives rise to efficiency, meritocracy and further innovations and entrepreneurial drive.
The potent combination of entrepreneurship and technological innovation can forge an environment that is conducive to further enterprise, involving even government policy in supporting entrepreneurship and innovation.
